Divided into three movements, this piece presents the piano that carries with it, as if by osmosis, the European style and its idiomatic literature, but at the same time extends its potential of sounds and percussive elements, migrating to other cultural realms.

The music, written between the years 2010-2011, forms continuously fragments of melodic and rhetorical gestures only to break them into a background, from which another melody emerges. In fact, the term sonata here alludes to the two main elements of this work (and of composition in general) - form and sound.
